We got the pleasure to chat with Hanna from Enamour Weddings to chat everything Wedding Planning. From key questions you should know before hiring your wedding planner to the process of wedding planning, we have you covered!
What inspired you to become a wedding planner?
My inspiration to become a wedding planner came from my own wedding planning journey. The process of organising every detail, designing a cohesive vision, and seeing it all come to life on our special day was truly magical. It sparked a passion I couldn’t ignore.
Before stepping into the wedding industry, I gained extensive experience in hospitality and management, which gave me a strong foundation in event coordination, problem-solving, and customer service. Transitioning into wedding planning felt like a natural progression—combining my professional expertise with my newfound passion for helping couples create the most memorable day of their lives.
Do you offer different packages? What do they include?
Yes, we offer three main services; Wedding Planning, Wedding Design & Styling, and On-the-Day Coordination. Our Wedding Planning is a comprehensive service that covers everything from start to finish, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience.
Supplier Sourcing: We research and secure core suppliers like caterers, celebrants, photographers, etc
Design & Styling: We conceptualise, design, and source all styling-related elements, including furniture, decor, and floral stylists.
Detailed Timeline: We create a meticulous run sheet covering formalities and supplier bump-in/out schedules.
Day-of Management: Our team is present on the wedding day to manage all logistics, oversee setup and styling, and ensure everything runs smoothly—from the start of the day to the beginning of the reception.
Our Wedding Design & Styling is perfect for couples who’ve already organised their core suppliers but need a creative eye to bring their vision to life.
Aesthetic Conceptualisation: We transform their Pinterest inspiration into a cohesive and personalised wedding design.
Design Planning: We provide a mood board and a detailed design brief to help visualise their special day.
Styling Supplier Management: We source and coordinate with styling-related suppliers such as floral stylists, furniture, decor, stationery, and signage.
Day-of Styling: Our team is present on the day to ensure every detail is executed flawlessly, repurposing items from ceremony to reception to maximise their styling budget. We are there from setup in the morning to the start of the reception.
Our On-the-Day Coordination service is ideal for couples who have planned their wedding but want professional support to ensure everything runs smoothly on the big day.
Pre-Wedding: Starting six weeks before the wedding, we finalise their timeline, including formalities and supplier schedules.
Day-of Management: We handle all logistics, oversee supplier arrivals and setups, manage the day’s schedule, and ensure formalities run on time—giving the couple and guests the freedom to relax and enjoy the day.
Each package is designed to provide as much or as little support as they need.
How do you manage the logistics of the wedding day?
Managing the logistics of a wedding day begins well in advance—often weeks or months before the event. We ensure everything runs seamlessly by coordinating closely with each supplier to understand their specific requirements, including their bump-in and bump-out times. This allows us to create a comprehensive plan and work collaboratively with all vendors to ensure everything comes together smoothly on the day.
What is your process for handling any issues that arise on the day of the wedding?
Our approach is to address any issues as discreetly as possible, either independently or in collaboration with the suppliers. Our priority is to resolve problems swiftly and seamlessly, ensuring the couple and their guests remain completely unaware.
Do you provide a timeline for the day? How do you ensure everything stays on schedule?
Absolutely, we provide a highly detailed timeline that covers every aspect of the day—from formalities and song choices to beverage service timings and supplier bump-in and bump-out schedules. To ensure everything stays on track, we maintain open communication with all suppliers throughout the day. We also proactively review the schedule 30 to 60 minutes in advance, making any necessary arrangements to keep everything running smoothly and on time.
How often do you meet or communicate with the Bride & Groom during the planning process?
For our full planning couples, the number of meetings depends on how far out from the wedding they’ve booked. On average, we meet 4–5 times, including the initial consultation, final venue meeting, and video calls at key stages of the planning process. In addition to these meetings, we maintain consistent communication via email to ensure our couples feel supported and informed every step of the way.
What is your approach to ensuring a personalised experience for each couple?
I believe creating a personalised experience is absolutely essential. As a bespoke wedding planner and stylist, my approach is thoughtful and tailored to each couple. I take the time to truly get to know them—their personalities, preferences, dislikes, and top priorities for their wedding day. Collaboration is at the heart of the process, ensuring we bring their unique vision to life together.
Every supplier is carefully handpicked to match their specific style, vision, and budget, rather than relying solely on a pre-set list of recommendations. This ensures a day that feels authentically “them” in every detail.
What advice do you have for couples who are just starting their wedding planning journey?
Start by setting a clear budget and doing some research to ensure your Pinterest board aligns with what you’re willing to spend. If it doesn’t, adjust your expectations to match your budget—it’ll save you a lot of stress later on.
Next, sit down together and identify your top five priorities for the day. This will help you allocate your budget where it matters most and make decisions with confidence.
Finally, remember this is your day—no one else’s. Focus on what feels authentic to you as a couple. Traditions can be lovely, but there’s no rule saying you have to follow them. Do what makes you happy and reflects your unique story.
And lastly, are there any common misconceptions when hiring a wedding planner that you’d like to address?
I think the most common misconception is that people often don’t see the true value of the service we provide relative to the fee we charge. I would go as far to say wedding planners, stylists, and coordinators are probably among the most underpaid suppliers in the industry, despite the significant amount of work we do.
Our role begins months—sometimes years—before the wedding day. Behind the scenes, we handle thousands of emails, countless phone calls, and ongoing communication with suppliers. We spend hours curating design briefs, sourcing the perfect imagery to align with the client’s vision, gathering and revising quotes, and fine-tuning every detail.
On the day itself, our work continues with meticulous coordination of supplier bump-ins, styling and setting up heavy furniture, relocating items as needed, and managing the entire timeline. We’re often on-site for long hours—or even days—leading up to and during the wedding.
The amount of effort and care poured into every wedding goes far beyond what’s visible.
