Could you share a bit about your journey together, such as how long you've been a couple and the story of how you first met?
We met 14 years ago. We were so young and completely unaware that we were meeting our forever person. The first time we spoke was on a summer holiday at Treachery beach. We spent a night by the beach bonfire and spoke for hours.
We'd love to hear details of your proposal. Who proposed and how?
Will proposed on a little weekend away in Bellingen, NSW. On the first day he took me for a swim in the beautiful creeks at the promised land. After spending time at a private waterhole, he got down on one knee. We then checked in to our Airbnb and spent the weekend in our love bubble
The process of choosing a wedding band is deeply symbolic. Could you elaborate on why you opted for our Pavé Eternity Wedding Band?
Choosing a wedding band was such an exciting experience. I had been looking at wedding bands for a long time and knew that I wanted something dainty, yet something that would complement my solitaire diamond engagement ring. When I came across the Pavé eternity ring it was perfect. The slim design did not overpower the diamond, and the small diamonds lifted and enhanced the beauty of the solitaire ring that Will had made for me. I knew it was perfect from the first time I looked at it.
Were there any standout vendors or specific wedding details that you would highly recommend to other couples planning their special day?
We had such a great experience with all our vendors. We honestly would not change a thing about our day. The talented people who brought it all together...
Left For Paris (Celebrant/photographer/videographer)
Caileigh and Azad are such an incredible team. They do packages for elopements and small weddings and we're so helpful with the entire lead up to the wedding, and of course on the day. They create the most beautiful atmosphere and capture every special moment. There was also less coordinating of vendors which made the planning process a breeze.
Jessie Pink Photography (reception photography)
Jessie is a bundle of fun. I did not have to direct her. She just came and worked her magic capturing all little details and heartfelt moments. Her photography is cinematic and photojournalistic.
The Hut Guesthouse
Our venue was insane! What a beautiful property in the Byron hinterland. The property sits along the gorgeous possum creek and is also home to the amazing restaurant The Hut. We spent the day after our wedding at the most incredible long lunch with our friends and families.
Torleys bar
Delicious cocktails and stunning bar set up. We did not lift a finger. Chris brought the entire bar set up, glassware and ice, did a wonderful bar service, and packed and cleaned everything before leaving. We were also able to byo all the alcohol (a big money saver!).
Made With Love (Dress)
Reflecting on your wedding day, could you share some of your favourite moments?
Where do we start...
The ceremony was absolute magic! We had been dreaming about this moment for a long time. Part of me expected to be nervous and jittery, but it was so much fun. Standing in front of our closest family and friends, and saying our vows was a moment neither of us will forget.
We loved having a small wedding with our closest people. Over the course of our day we did not feel rushed or exhausted like many bride and groom's say. We were able to relax, speak to and have fun with all of our guests, and enjoy every little detail that we planned, including the oysters and cocktails.
What are you most excited for in your future as a couple?
Everything! Adventures together. We love to explore new places and experience life side by side. Making a home. A place that reflects us and the things we value in life. A place where people feel comfortable and happy. Creating a family and sharing our love beyond just the two of us
